EST 1939. First founded in Ogumachi (Arakawa, Tokyo) as a manufacturer of medical devices and surgical scissors, Kobayashi Scissors evacuated from Tokyo toward the end of WWII. They reopened their forge in Sanjo and began their current work of manufacturing scissors for local farmers. Kobayashi's well-loved Koshiji scissors are still hand-manufactured with traditional techniques.
